The Season is Coming to an End

End of the Season

Things are starting to cool off here in Atlanta as the leaves begin to change and fall comes into effect. We would like to start off by saying thanks to all of our wonderful customers who helped make this year the best year yet! We really appreciate all the kind words you have given us throughout the season. It really lets us know that the services we offer are effective in keeping your yard mosquito free so you and your family can enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Importance of Your Last Spray

While you might think that with the dropping temperatures mosquitoes are now inactive, now is the most crucial time to make sure that you get that last spray and here’s why. When you end our services early, you not only break our mosquito barrier but you also allow mosquitoes one final chance to start breeding again in your yard. The lifecycle of a mosquito is can be as short as 4 days and by the time a female lays her eggs, you can have full-grown biting adults in less than a week’s time. Also, any eggs that mosquitoes lay before hibernating can actually survive the cold months of winter. Even though you tend to notice mosquitoes in warmer temperatures, they only need water and temperatures above 55 degrees in order to hatch so don’t be fooled by those tricky little pests!

Getting that last treatment helps ensure that all of those eggs are eliminated from your yard so that when spring and summer roll back around, you won’t have those pesky mosquitoes hatching and bothering you the first chance that they get. If you would like to talk about your final sprays of the season, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 404-996-1381 and we will be happy to discuss your end of the season with us here at Mosquito Joe of North Atlanta!!
